Analyst

About Tailwind

Tailwind Ventures enables early- and growth-stage companies to withstand the scrutiny of due diligence and secure capital. The firm serves venture clients across North America, in a variety of sectors and stages.

Tailwind applies finance, business, and marketing expertise in a holistic approach we call diligent preparedness to enable capital readiness and capital access. Our diligent preparedness process empowers ventures to build stronger businesses and improve the risk-reward relationship for ventures and investors. We actively work with each venture client to strengthen the fundamentals and financials, and to construct an evidence-based narrative that demonstrates the competencies required to create value for investors.

The firm is also developing a digital platform to augment and amplify its processes, and planning to launch a strategic opportunities fund to invest in select venture clients.

  • Excellent work ethic and attention to detail, with the ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, with the ability to comfortably interact with entrepreneurs and executives
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; any prior experience with PitchBook / HubSpot / Jira or equivalents is also highly desirable
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative research and analytical skills, including the ability to organize unstructured qualitative data, perform quantitative financial modelling and market sizing exercises, and visually present key insights
  • Intellectually curious and creative, with a keen interest in disruptive / innovative technology and trends, and a growth mindset
