Portage's circular MSW to SAF model concurrently addresses two distinct, but interrelated global problems:

• A macro level, predominantly environmental problem around municipalities' needs to cut MSW landfill emissions and costs in-line with their waste diversion and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction goals; tied to Portage's feedstock.
• A micro level, predominantly economic problem around aviation operators' needs to secure high volumes of SAF, at low costs per carbon abatement, to affordably reduce aviation emissions in compliance with SAF mandates; tied to Portage's offtake.

Portage's core SAF product projects to acutely address these problems, by diverting ~80% of MSW and reducing annual climate + waste spending by ~60% for municipalities, to create SAF with zero carbon intensity and the lowest cost per carbon abatement on the market for aviation operators.
